How We Helped Launch Local Production and Achieve Full Regulatory Compliance
Entrepreneurs from Vietnam approached us for legal support in entering the Russian market. Their business involved the production of nutritional supplements, with plans to both import part of the product line from Vietnam and localize manufacturing in Russia using Vietnamese raw materials.
Our first step was to establish a Russian LLC on their behalf and register domain names and trademarks under the new company. We then secured residency for the company in an industrial park, which provided production facilities on preferential terms.
Next, we obtained an expert opinion from Rospotrebnadzor, the Russian consumer protection authority. The premises and the production workflow were reviewed for compliance with all applicable sanitary regulations (SanPiN), after which the company received authorization to begin manufacturing.
We proceeded to produce a pilot batch of supplements. Following laboratory testing, the Nutrition Research Institute confirmed that the products contained beneficial active components and could be registered for sale. Based on this conclusion, Rospotrebnadzor officially registered the supplement, enabling commercial production to begin.
The entire process took approximately six months, during which we also completed the registration of products manufactured in Vietnam.
By the time the registrations were finalized, we had already secured agreements with marketplaces, pharmacies, and other distributors.
The company has been operating in Russia since 2018 and consistently generates annual profits exceeding USD 11 million.
